Antique Victorian sterling silver combination vesta case and sovereign holder, match safe. Would have originally been gilded externally as well as internally. Fully hallmarked for Chester assay office, date letter ‘Q’ for 1899 and maker initials ‘W.N’ William Neale.


Presented in good pre loved/well used condition, hinges work well and the sovereign case pops open and shuts well. There is as per photographs age related wear, this little vesta is over 124 years old, wear to gilding externally, pitting to the surface and indents either side of case.
