A fine example of a Hardy 7ft two piece split cane spinning rod 'The Hardy Wanless' Palakona. For lines up to 6lb. Serial number E78393 circa 1951. Sections are nice and straight and fit together snuggly. Very clean full cork handle grip with sliding rings reel locks. The rod is in excellent condition, as seen in the pictures. Decals are complete and clear and whippings are sound. Some minor bubbling on the finish, and it is missing its butt stop. Comes with the original Hardy slip bag and ferrule plug.
