Timefactors PRS-22 Speedbird III Pilots Watch With Stainless Steel Bracelet Full Set

This is a PRS-22 Speedbird III from Timefactors.

The watch has been worn, clearly, but is in very good condition overall. Timekeeping from the ETA 2824-2 TOP movement is excellent, and the package is complete with the original warranty card, extra bracelet links and the NATO strap originally supplied with the watch. There’s a resemblance between the Speedbird III and IWC’s early pilot watches, particularly the 38mm Mk XV.

There is also a clear and deliberate reference to the watches used by BOAC (the British Overseas Airways Corporation) as a cockpit navigation aid.

However, it would be wrong to look at the Speedbird III as a re-release or a reproduction. The watch is rather an evolution of the original concept, by taking major elements of the original design then adding water resistance, a screw down crown, sapphire crystal, Swiss automatic movement, Swiss Luminova, a unique high quality stainless steel bracelet and a high specification of anti-magnetic shielding.

With a manufacturing quality and specification usually only seen watches costing many times more, the PRS-22 is a high quality tool watch for the 21st century.
