These trees are grown from seeds from an old heirloom loquat tree "Maxine's Tree". Loquat trees were brought to the Sacramento, California area by Chinese and Japanese immigrants. They do quite well in hot climates and tolerate a few nights of winter freeze in the valley. They grow well in ground or pots, but in colder climates you may want to bring pots inside in winter. How to Grow: Here is some good information on growing your loquat trees from seeds. I would skip the herbicide--you can pick or dig out weeds.
