I am reluctantly breaking up my vast collection of magazines, data sheets, brochures and catalogues on Audio and Lighting Installations in Clubs, Venues and on Live Sound and Public Address loudspeakers, systems, amplifiers, Lighting Effects and so on as I need the space.
This is a complete collection of the 1993 issues of the DISCO MIRROR & LICENSED DESIGN trade magazine, including the annual BEDA awards supplement one; there may be flyers included in some.
This was the official British Entertainment and Discotheque Association Ltd publication as well, hence the annual awards supplement. (They were renamed The Bar, Entertainment and Dance Association Ltd in 2002 and ceased trading in 2014)

This is just one of many years worth of this publication that I will be listing on ebay so if you want any other years in the 1990 to 1998 range please add me to your ebay saved suppliers file.

They, like the Disco and Club International magazines of the day, contain in depth reviews of the clubs, discotheques and other venues all over the UK and elsewhere even as they opened or relaunched, which is great if one wants to see what the history and design of these places was and how dance music developed and affected their design. The clubs establish, evolve, die, move and get reborn all the time so these mags are the best way to track this over time.
They are also full of adverts for the companies in the industry and details on the products used, the sound systems, lighting and effects companies involved and it all makes a great read.

These are heavy at 3.1Kg so will have go as a 2nd class Medium Parcel but I combine postage for those who have interest in bidding on similar items; the shipping cost shown covering up to 10Kg gross weight - see note below.

These form a very useful resource for the Electronic Audio Engineer's historical reference library.
See the images for more details.

In good condition with no writing inside, no missing or torn pages, just minor filing wear. From a pet & bug free, non-smoking environment.

Size: 298h x 210w x55t (mm), weight 3.1Kgm
Publisher: Disco Mirror Ltd

I have a great deal of mostly unread professional and Hi-Fi audio catalogues and magazines, text books, semiconductor and component data books, device data sheets and application notes, distributor's catalogues, short-form catalogues, brochures & flyers, test equipment maker's catalogues, operator's & service manuals and technical books, etc. to clear due to down-sizing so propose to offer them as sets where convenient as sending them individually is so costly due to their size and usually high weight. The shipping cost is thus higher than would be the case for a single book, but is far cheaper per book to reduce the cost for those who want several books.
As this is to be by size and weight, there may not be complete sets or all the same year, but as far as possible I will try and select sets from the same manufacturer and all bearing the same date.
If you are looking for any particular books or manufacturer, please message me and I will list them if I have them as, apart from the usual Mullard, International Rectifier, Motorola, RCA and so on semiconductor makers, I have a lot of very obscure ones from long gone USA manufacturers especially, such as Solidev and Powertech for example. If you add me to your favourites, you will get emails from ebay as I list items and so will not miss anything you are looking for that I have listed.

So each auction will be for a set of data books, usually from a single semiconductor or equipment manufacturer and offered as a bulk job lot, to comply with either the Royal Mail's Small Parcel 2Kg maximum or Medium Parcel 10Kg maximum weight, 2nd class Signed For category. (Or via a courier, given Royal Mail delays currently)

Please message me if you are intending to buy more books or catalogues, ignore ebay's hectoring you to pay for each one straight away, just wait until you have finished before asking me for an ebay invoice so that I can combine the shipping costs.
As I understand it, one has to use online purchasing now to do this, not their mobile app, which I am told forces one to buy each item immediately, so preventing combining purchases to save postage costs.

Winner's notice; please wait for me to raise your ebay invoice before paying as the prices below are estimates and may be higher if prices change since the listing was prepared or the final bid value (FBV) goes above the insured value shown and will also be higher if your confirmed address is outside of UK post codes.
If outside the UK, or intending to buy more books, please wait for me to pack and weigh the total of the books purchased so as to get an accurate shipping cost to your destination country for your ebay invoice, before paying.
Failure to observe this will cause delays because I may have to request additional funds to cover any extra shipping costs as I only charge what it costs me and add nothing for materials and time, etc. unless specifically noted below.
