This is a wonderful example of the painted metal purses made by Whiting and Davis. It has strong design qualities for which the company was known. The primary colors of the Painted mesh are Red, light blue, yellow and black all in very good condition. Excellent example of the Dramatic and bold effect of late art deco design.

The gun metal frame is painted with red and black enamel in a geometric design.

Condition: this beautiful purse has definitely been loved. a few areas of where the frame meets the bag on the sides, It’s separating. No lining.

Frame has very minor missing enamel. Bent chain. See pictures for details.
