  • Description: A beautiful Gem Uncirculated banknote from Mozambique on the eastern coast of Africa. This is the 24 July 1958, 50 Escudos, issued during the Portuguese administration. The banknote is black on multicolor under-print on the front. The front also has the name of Banco Nacional Ultramarino (National Overseas Bank) of Lisbon Portugal in the top margin. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. The front also depicts the bust of Eduardo Costa to the right. The back is green on light orange and shows an ornate church doorway in the center with the name of the bank and denomination. The note has two signatures on the front. This particular note has the serial number B5779588, which is displayed on the front twice in red, but is not displayed on the back. The banknote is graded Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality) by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Please carefully view scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
