“Silver Spurs Rodeo” (1954) 8mm Film Home Movie, FL, Fort Fredrica, Zoo, VS1.5


Film captures a variety of family experiences in 1954. Film opens at Fort Fredrica in Georgia and moves on to a zoo in Florida just after crossing the border it looks like. Then viewers get a peek at home life with rambunctious kids and pet bunnies in the house before getting out to get Silver Spurs Rodeo to catch bucking broncos and cowboys being dragged around by calves.


FILM CONDITION:

The film appears to be in acceptable condition and ran smoothly. Film has some warp and curl. The first few feet projected wobbled, but stabilized after that. Some emulsion damage on the first and last few inches of the film. Color fade as shown in photos and video.


VINEGAR SYNDROME:

A-D strip indicates the film is VS1.5. Film is currently in cold storage to prevent further degradation.
