Unusual and Visually Cheerful All-Solid Fabrics Double Wedding Ring--1930-1940.  Very seldom do you see a Double Wedding Ring Quilt in solid fabrics.  Very Seldom.  Normally this pattern is constructed with small floral prints.  This pattern became very popular during the days of The Great Depression.  Most all of the Double Wedding Ring quilts made during this time period were constructed from cotton feed sacks.  Prior to the Great Depression, feed sacks were generally made of an unbleached muslin with no pattern.  During this time frame, distributors realized that by changing the bland muslin sacks to the dainty and cheerful floral printed sacks, it would help them sell more feed and grain.  Please message me with any questions!
