This "Hobbies" "Miss America" live steam launch has its' box and instruction sheet, it dates to around 1928 and it is in "as found" condition.
The boat hull has retained much of its' green and light brown paintwork to the hull, this appears to be original.
It has its' front and rear spray decks, the rear deck has been repainted and may be a replacement. The front deck has been varnished at some point The launch has the usual scuffs and marks you would expect from a played with item of this age.
There is a little separation of the wood running around the bottom of the hull.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
The steam boiler has not been tested.
The prop turns smoothly which turns the fly wheel and piston.
The brass guard over the prop is present, the screws holding it in place may be replacements.
The brass rudder moves and stays in place.
The stern has the "Hobbies" logo, this still has a fair colour.
The boat measures 64 cm (25 1/4 inches) long.
The boat comes with its' burner, a funnel and its' instruction sheet.
The original card box has the original label to one end, inevitably the box has tears, scuffs and marks.
The stands are not included.
