Aloha! Up for sale from the beautiful islands of Hawai’i… is this Rare Transitional Omega Speedmaster "Pre-Moon" from 1968. This particular example has the applied Omega Logo as well as the Dot Over 90 "DON" bezel insert that you see on the reference 145.012. Overall condition is really good for its age, Dial is near perfect and is still running strong after all these years. This is the the iconic "Moon Watch", that every collector dreams of owning in their collection. These Good examples of a 1968 Speedmaster Pro are getting harder and harder to find over the years. I purchased this watch from its original owners grandson here in Honolulu, Hawaii. This watch is so charming and full of character that you wont be able to stop looking at your wrist. Anyone can wear a re-edition Speedmaster from modern times, but few will have the privilege of owning the real deal Omega Speedmaster from the 1960's. Once this auction ends, it is gone forever, so don't miss your opportunity to own a piece of Omega History. 

Condition/Specs:

Case: 42mm without crown, Stainless Steel, light wear from normal use. Looks to have been polished at least once in its life. Caseback has some scratches and marks. Overall in good condition. see pics. Caseback inside is marked 145.022 - 68 ST. Movement serial is 27324xxx. The bottom pusher cap fell off recently, needs to be put back on by a watchmaker or needs a new pusher. Selling As-Is for repair. Some pics were taken prior to the pusher cap falling off. 

Dial: Matte dial with applied logo (transitional), original not refinished and lume has a nice color to it. Hands have light patina on lume. Dial in excellent condtion. See Pics

Crystal: Hesalite crystal with omega logo in the center. Good condtion, has tiny scuffs here and there, can be easily polished off. 

Bezel: Rare Dot Over 90 "DON" insert. Has some wear on bezel insert and bezel. see pics. 

Movement/Functions: Calibre 861, Runs, Chronograph function working, just needs pusher cap fixed or pusher replaced. Due to the age and unknown service history, I am selling as-is and running. Cannot guarantee exact timing of movement (+/-), it seems to be keeping general time from testing it. 

Strap: Delugs brand butterscotch Canvas and leather strap. Lighty worn, and Delugs Stainless Steel buckle.
