Rare antique Inuit, Eskimo paddle drum made from Polar Bear Intestine and sewn with "sinew" which is made from tendons of an animal and also has some antique hand forged? nails holding the hide down near the wood handle. Has a black tarlike substance near the sinew possibly used for waterproofing....
The drum is 21 and 3/4 inches long and 7 inches wide at the drumhead.
Most likely made for religious ceremonies.
Very good condition with no rips or tears
