Following guidelines from the most current Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics, we grade this as VF+ (8.5). This item is almost perfect with outstanding eye appeal. Item looks as if it has been carefully handled. There may be a limited accumulation of minor bindery or printing defects; one or two more than a VF/NM item. The cover is almost flat with slight surface wear perhaps with some wear at one of the corners. Inks are generally bright with high reflectivity. A 1/8” bend is allowed if the color is not broken. Corners are cut square and sharp with slight blunting but without creases. Several lightly penciled, stamped, or inked arrival dates in unobtrusive locations. Apart from a slight spotting effect (foxing) usually at the edges, there is no soiling, staining or other discoloration. The spine is tight and flat with no spine roll or splits. The staples may have slight discoloration with only the slightest of staple tears. There may be a minor accumulation of nearly imperceptible stress lines. No rust migration. Paper is cream, and supple. No hint of acidity in the odor of the newsprint. No interior autographs or owner signatures. Centerfold is firmly secured. If there are any interior tears, they are very minor.
