Here is an Exceptionally Scarce example of an Early, Iron Pontil Soda bottle from Chicago Illinois. This is one of the Earlier Chicago Bottling Partnerships, one that consisted of Joseph Entwistle and Geo. Lomax. That started their business venture in 1852 and were split up by sometime in 1854.. George Lomax was bottling with another partner by 1855. This bottle is embossed on one side, "E & L" and the opposite side has "AERATED SODA WATER" The A & the E are joined together. The bottle has a well pronounced kick-up style pontil mark. The bottle measures 7 & 1/2 inches tall. It is well embossed and is a cobalt blue color. See condition report.
