Here is something a bit more unusual, one of the Marx train TOYS that does not seem to show up on eBay too often.  This is the #2260 Marx Guid-A-Train set.  It is one of their battery-powered, DC motor Zig-Zag type trains, with a plastic western style engine and tin lithographed articulated passenger cars.  This set also comes with 8 sections of plastic "track". But this isn't ordinary track.  There are 4 each of righthand and lefthand direction changing tracks.  The idea was that the child could set these up on the floor and make countless different patterns and layouts for his/her train to navigate.  All 8 gray plastic track sections are here and in good shape (I included a pic of them laid out, plus a closeup of the Marx logo on one of them).  The train, track, and box are in good COSMETIC shape (but the box bottom does have some damage, see the pics).  But the train is UNTESTED, and I assume it likely will NOT work (I think the damage to the box bottom was likely from a battery leak, and therefore the engine probably will need to be rebuilt to run).  But since most Marx collectors are far more interested in the aesthetics of these obscure trains (does any one actually run them regularly?), this should still be a great addition to someone's collection out there.  I included lots of photos, of the box, the train, and the track, with a yardstick in the shots for size reference, so you can judge for yourself.   No instructions came with this one, but I am going to toss in a COLOR PHOTOCOPY of an instruction sheet and packing slip that I printed out from another auction a while back.   Priced reasonably, with only actual shipping cost on the 3 2/3 pound box charged to the winner (I give you multiple shipping options due to the size of this one, so choose what works best for YOU).
