“Moosehaven” (1954) 8mm Film Home Movie, Retirement Community, FL, Monkey Feed +

Film captures a family trip to Florida where they hit many of the historic sites along the way including the Oriental Gardens in Jacksonville, old school and mill in St Augustine, Castillo San Marco fort and the swamp tour in Silver Springs. But the stop in Orange Park to visit the grandparents at Moosehaven was very interesting to see the retirement community for Moose Lodge members only when it was still being developed. That and the monkey feeding on the swamp tour make this film fun to watch.

The film appears to be in good condition, ran smoothly and has no vinegar smell. Some streaking.
