Financial Status for Dallas County, Iowa, for the Year 1929. Edited and Published by Jan and Naomi McPeek at Aaron's Books. Salem, Ohio. April, 2003

This booklet identifies aproximately 600 merchants, tradesmen and manufacturers, and their financial condition in DALLAS COUNTY, IOWA. This is fascinating local and genealogical history immediately preceding the Great Depression, which will give you great insight in to what was happening in the communities and who the principal players were at the time. Many of these towns no longer exist and others have blossomed into nice size cities. All towns listed in this report are named at the bottom of the description. This information was compiled from the R. G. Dun (became Dun and Bradstreet) Mercantile Reference Book of March 1929 and was confidential information at the time of publication. The information for each listing includes the name, trade or business, financial worth, and credit rating. The photography does not do the text justice. The text is 20% larger than in the original report and on a good grade of paper, making it easy to read. Time does not allow me to respond to emails about particular listings. This report comes spiral bound in booklet form. Cities and towns included in this report are: Adel, Booneville, Bouton, Dallas, Dallas Center, Dawson, De Soto, Dexter, Gardiner, Granger, High Bridge, Kennedy, Linden, Minburn, Moran, Ortonville, Panther, Perry, Redfield, Van Meter, Waukee, Woodward,
