Under the chips on the balance arm, it looks like it was nickel plated when new. That would mean that someone painted the arm after that. The base MAY have been repainted as well, but not lately, so it's very hard to be sure! Under the lower middle is "244" which was from the old factory. This may have been made by Arcade, but it's not marked. There is only one weight and although it looks iron, I just checked, that weight is NOT iron! Again I didn't check that when I purchased it in 1976. The scoop is pressed tin, shows a lot of age, and is 5 1/2 X 3 1/2". The arm is 5 1/2" long and the base is 5 1/4" from foot tip to foot tip. Front to back the base is 3 1/8" including the weight holders. This is how this scale was found when purchased, and how it will be sold. Questions, please email me.
