This is a nice specimen of Galena (Lead Sulfide) crystals embedded in a Siderite (Iron Carbonate) crystal matrix. The specimen is comprised of a blanket of tightly grouped, red-brown Siderite crystals atop a Sphalerite-Chalcopyrite matrix.  Emerging from the Siderites are several dull silver crystals of Galena.

 

The specimen measures 4.2 inches by 2.1 inches by 1.4 inches.  It weighs 7.4 ounces, or 210 grams.
