It integrates a 16-bit microcontroller (PIC24FJ32GA002) and a 2.4GHz RF transceiver-MRF24J40, which works at ISM band 2.405-2.48 GHz and comforms to IEEE 802.15.4? Standard. Besides, this transceiver supports ZigBee?, MiWi?, MiWi P2P and proprietary wireless networking protocols. This UART-ready module is especially suitable for short distance (10 meters) wireless communication application in which peer-to-peer or point-to-multipoint communication requirement is needed. Moreover, its low current consumption makes it almost one of the most cost-effective solutions.
