This is important for numerous reasons including reducing the quanitity of unreacted waste oil in your biodiesel and therefore the amount entering your engine.

Simply add to isopropyl alcohol and deionised water to the quantities shown in the instructions. You will then have a working solution of 1%Phenolphthalein
Your final product will be 1% Phenolphthalein in a 100ml solution, which is correct for biodiesel use.
You can also choose to mix 0.5 gram at a time and make 50ml of the solution.
You will need isopropyl alcohol and deionised water for titrating...... so why not use some of it to create your home made Phenolphthlein solution!
