Novice antique
collectors should be aware that any antique over 100 years old will have some
type(s) of slight or minor imperfections or marks of character. It is exactly these time-acquired features
that intrigue collectors to ponder about how the piece must have been used and
by whom. Such marks of use and character
only add to the authenticity, charm, and desirability of the piece.
