The Stones have helped build rock as we know it. While often referred to by some as the "Worlds Greatest Rock Band", it can not be disputed that they have written some of the coolest and best known rock songs of all time. Unlike so many of their peers, they never really went through the break up and 'comeback' thing because they have never really gone away! They have so many classics one DVD can't begin to cover them all but tried to focus on a few of the earlier classics like Paint I t Black and Sympathy for the Devil.
This series tries to provide something for a wide range of abilities and levels but is geared toward Mid-Beginner thru Upper-Intermediate players. This does NOT use alternate tunings in order to make it easier for most people. Most parts are not extremely difficult and some players may find this a good choice for practicing basic chord work. Some of the guitar parts are known for mixing rhythmic lead lines which make them extremely fun to play. While not recommended for someone who wants to learn lots of complicated single note lead lines, this DVD should be great for those who know these songs and want to learn to play them completely.
