Aftermarket slide kits usually need and include a "fine pitch bolt. This bolt is a coarse thread pitch, just like the OEM Bolt thread size.

Question:
What bolt is this bolt used for? Take a look at the pictures showing the caliper & caliper installed - backside of rear assembly. I have indicated on the pictures where this bolt fits. Attaches to the slide pin to hold caliper to slide bracket. It is not the large bolt that holds the entire assembly to the axle flange. Hope this helps. Just want to make sure you know these are the small bolts that hold the caliper to the slide pins (bracket). You can see the bolt in-use in photo #2. Although that one is a different color, this bolt will fit in that same position. I have even added some arrows and text to the picture to show where this bolt will go and which bolt it replaces.
Some people purchase this bolt thinking it is the larger bolt that holds the entire assembly to the axle. If you need those bolts I also carry them in another listing (M12x35MM).
I have uploaded a picture of a rear caliper attached to the caliper bracket to show what the bolts in this listing is used for. In the picture you will see the silver bolt attaching the caliper to the caliper bracket. The bolts in this listing are to be used to replace these silver bolts holding the caliper to the bracket. The second caliper picture shows the backside of the caliper. Small bolts in this listing will replace the small bolts that hold caliper to the bracket. The larger lower bolts are to hold caliper bracket to the rear axle. Those bolts are in another listing if you need some. Be aware that the listed pictures are representative. Some variations to the finish and the thread locking compound depending on the batch the supplier ships. All are high quality brake hardware bolts.
These small M8 coarse thread bolts will only fit the factory type slide pin with coarse thread pitch. Most aftermarket slide pin kits use a fine pitch bolt and come the corresponding fine pitch caliper slide pin. If this still is not clear, please contact me, happy to assist.
Just to reiterate, this is for the small 8mm bolts that hold caliper to the slide pins, "not" the larger M12 bolts to hold the caliper bracket to the axle. I do have those bolts in another listing.
For information purposes I have listed the difference between this small bolt and the larger caliper flange mounting bolt. This is the small diameter bolt!

High quality, hardened (normally 8.8 or 10.9) plated brake mounting bolt - pair (2pc) with thread locking compound applied. Be aware that they sometimes use a different color thread locking compound. It can be red, gray, green, yellow, blue and possibly even some other colors. Use the pictures as a reference. All are a very high quality bolts.
This bolt fits the factory rear brake caliper slide pins on 1994-2004 Mustang models. This includes the base model, GT model & Cobra models. If you are missing these bolts or the are damaged, here is a chance to pick some up. 2 bolts is enough to replace all bolts on one caliper. L@@K : This is a "Coarse" Thread Pitch Bolt!
Be aware this bolt has a coarse metric thread pitch & not a fine pitch thread. Many of the aftermarket slide pins use a fine pitch bolt & these bolts do not fit aftermarket slide pins unless they have a coarse thread pitch. If you are unsure you can compare your bolt to the picture or contact me for assistance. The fine pitch bolts are very fine and very obvious with a visual check. We also carry complete new slide pins with bolts included which are the fine thread pitch design if you need a complete replacement pin/bolt replacement.
Fitment for 94-04 Mustang - all models listed below including Cobra models, base models & GT models. If you are upgrading an older Mustang (79-93) this kit will allow you to refresh a used set of rear calipers and help you get them up and working properly. Listing is for a pair of bolts. Purchase 2 kits if you want to replace the bolts on both left and right rear calipers.
