"Flex" CA is a different kind of thin CA
with some unique benefits:
FLEX CA has a different formulation from standard CA - it is significantly stronger and resists cracking instead of being rock hard and brittle. It can be polished - this makes it especially good for use in woodworking (it will not chip out when turning) and in high-vibration/high stress applications. It dries crystal clear and is a great alternative to rubber-toughened CA.
Plus - FLEX CA has superior shelf life!
FLEX CA is not quite as thin as regular "thin" CA, but will wick into tight spaces. It dries slower than regular CA, which can be extremely useful when you need extra working time. The mild accelerator spray will not harm paint or varnish finishes and will quickly set the glue without making it "pop" or "crust". Only a thin spray is needed.
FLEX CA has an odor that can be described as 'less irritating' than regular CA, but it is not considered "foam safe". It may be used on a wide variety of materials, including some plastics. It also is an excellent product for wood finishing - it can be used to create a clear finish on pen blanks and other products that are produced on the lathe. That's done by applying multiple layers, curing with accelerator, then sanding to a smooth finish using sandpaper and rubbing compound (on the lathe).
NOTE! This package includes a bottle of thin CA glue, and a bottle of accelerator with a spray top. IMPORTANT - the Flex CA glue is NOT "Foam-Safe". If you would like Foam-Safe CA glue, it is more expensive and I offer that separately (see my other sales). The spray activator will not harm painted or finished surfaces.
