The body and neck of an original 1958 P-Bass, with tons of modifications

It starts with the body and neck from an original natural finish 1958 Fender Precision Bass. The finish is worn and cracked, with lots of relic features from heavy play. It appears the body and neck may have been refinished at some point. From there the mods get interesting. The aftermarket bridge is a heavy high-mass brass "boomerang" that says Fender USA on it. This bridge feels incredibly solid, and the tone is robust and thick. Matching brass volume and tone knobs. There is a 3 position pickup selector switch wired to two EMG active pickups.

With an incredibly thick and chunky tone, this bass feels like an original 50's P-bass, but offers a lot more variety of tones than ever allowed by vintage Fenders. And because it's been heavily modified, the price is far below the sticker price of an all-original 50's Fender. If you've always wanted a 1958 P-Bass but didn't want to drop $20,000 to get it, this bass is for you.
