These winter breeches are without doubt the warmest we have ever come across.

Designed for use in Denmark and Scandinavia, which have much colder climates than here in the UK, they completely insulate you from biting cold, wind and snow, are wonderfully cosy and comfortable to wear, and in our opinion, are completely indispensable.

These essential winter breeches are nothing like the cheap and ugly versions you often see; the Thinsulate padding is on the inside only and not quilted to the outside, which means they are much more windproof and don't look like you're wearing a duvet, either.

The Clarino seat is cut just the same as the best German breeches - narrow across the hips for a more flattering appearance.

The broad elastic waistband is very comfortable to wear and allows full freedom of movement whilst keeping the breeches perfectly positioned. The extra height at the back gives a rear waistband depth of 4 inches, which covers the small of your back, keeps out drafts and ensures they do not pull down.

Please bear in mind these are external measurements and the breeches will be slightly smaller on the inside. When taking the waist measurements, we only stretched the elastic to a point where it would still be comfortable to wear, so there is a little extra there in each size.

They come in regular length only, which in our experience is suitable for riders up 5'9" (depending on your leg length). Our more petite customers tell us that they simply fold the bottom of the legs up if they're too long, or sew them up, both work well and are worth it to stay warm. An under foot elastic prevents ride up.
