ART PRINT: F-84E "Thunderstrike!"

This image depicts a U.S. Air Force Republic F-84E Thunderjet ( F-84E-1-RE, 49-2097) as flown by Col Carroll McColpin's jet while he was CO of the 31st Fighter Group at Turner Field, circa 1949.The F-84E was technically a fighter, but its strength was the close air support mission. When committed to the Korean conflict, Communist forces quickly came to fear the sound of Thunderjets closing in on their positions.

Print size 12" x 16", Unmatted, paper size 13" x 19"
