This is a good Antique Silver Waiter.  It has a moulded shell, scroll and panelled border and then is completely plain in the base.  It stands on 3 pad feet.  It is of a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks

Assay Office:    BIRMINGHAM

Date:               1907/08

Makers Marks: H.W.Ld (Henry Williamson Ltd)

Dimensions:   6 inches in diameter and 0.75 inch tall.  It weighs 132g

Condition:   Overall it is in very good condition, with just a couple of shallow pin prick dings and some light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use

Remarks:   A very good antique solid silver waiter, ideal for displaying business cards, or an ideal imprerssive serving plate for a solid silver sauce boat and ladle

Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
