The Propshaft bearing is a key component in the drivetrain for 4WD or RWD Vehicles. It supports the propshaft against the floor of the vehicle and ensure the smooth operation and low turning resistance to ensure all the engine power goes to the wheels.

The Bearing is often in the open below the vehicle, leaving it exposed to the elements, this can leave it prone to wear and tear.

Symptoms: When worn the bearing may become noisey, it will run rough and grainy (Not turn smoothly), It may experience some free play (horizintal float) in the bearing. In extreme wear it will sap power for the engine as the engine will be forced to try to turn the bearing if it is not running smoothly, This could lead to damage to the drive shaft, or the bearing seezing completely causing even more damage.
