This pattern is designed and HOME PRINTED by me so it is not quite photographic quality though I do use a proffesional printer and the pictures are great..the pattern though is original and excellent...it is NOT NOT NOT a photocopy, it is the only way I can reasonably print it without it costing a fortune (THERE IS A PICTURE OF ONE OF MY CURRENT PATTERNS, PLEASE DO LOOK AT THIS), and it is MY copyright. It runs to 6 pages and has plenty of brightly coloured pictures throughout, it is not the same format as a shop pattern, and is in larger print.

THIS IS THE PAPER KNITTING PATTERN TO MAKE THE MERMAID TAILS.
THERE ARE 3 SIZES GIVEN ON THE PATTERN, TO FIT BETWEEN A SMALL CHILD, A LARGER CHILD/TEENAGER, AND A LADIES SIZE...IF YOU THINK YOU CAN LOOK LIKE A LADY WRAPPED UP IN THIS! THEY ARE BIG AND INCREDIBLY COSY AND GREAT FUN. THEY CAN BE MADE TO ANY LENGTH, BUT MY LOT REQUESTED LONG AND SNUGGLY.
TO BE KNITTED IN UK. CHUNKY WEIGHT (US BULKY WEIGHT AND AUS. 12PLY) YARN
KNITTED ON STRAIGHT NEEDLES, OR IF YOU WANT TO KNIT IT ON CIRCULARS THERE IS THE INFORMATION. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OPTIONS GIVEN. YOU COULD EVEN MAKE IT FOR A BABY IN DK. OR ARAN WEIGHT YARN.
THERE ARE PLENTY OF PICTURES THROUGH THE 6 A4 PAGES OF THE PATTERN.
These are the details regarding wool needed exactly as on the pattern. The Mermaid tails are made using chunky weight yarn, (U.S. Bulky, AUS. 12 ply). The amounts required vary radically depending on the length of yarn on the ball, and also
how long you want to make the Mermaid. My daughters wanted theirs long and snuggly so I
have based the requirements on a long tail and using yarn with about 150mts. to each ball. 4 - 6 - 8 x 100gm. balls of chunky weight yarn. Pair of 6.00mm. knitting needles, (old no. 4’s) (U.S. no. 10). Pair of 5.00mm. knitting needles, (old no. 6’s) (U.S. no. 8).
I LOVED MAKING THIS PATTERN, IT REQUIRES BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF KNITTING SKILLS BUT THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE COMPREHENSIVE SO GIVE IT A TRY....
EVERY DETAIL IS INCLUDED IN THE PATTERN TO COMPLETE THE MERMAIDS AS THE PICTURES SHOWN. AS I HAVE BEEN ASKED LOADS, THE STRIPED RAINBOW TAIL SHOWN ON BEN IS KNITTED IN JAMES BRETT, PARTY TIME CHUNKY WHICH IS AVAILABLE FROM PLENTY OF OUTLETS AND ONLINE (woolwarehouse is great though). LOVELY YARN TO USE TOO.
