FANTASTIC VALUE  KIT, COMPLETELY SAFE and with wonderful results PLUS my alginate is quite SLOW SETTING: It takes 3 minutes for the process from start to finish.  This is 2 x as long as some of my competitors  and you need this amount of time to mix without panic.  So beware of other supplier's products - buy top quality for this important task. 

This plain bagged kit is a large kit for casting about 5-6 new baby hands and feet.  It will also do for other small adult body parts like an adult hand or any body part of a similar size.  Or you might like to reproduce a small cherished sculpture.  The kit contains the essential ingredients to complete a casting including alginate, casting plaster and metallic paint. 

The kit comprises  :

• A 450g bag of Super Safe ALGINART - which is skin safe colour change chromatic dental alginate. It is sealed new and fresh - just bought direct from the supplier so it will have a good shelf life (years) until opened. 
• 2.  900g of extra hard stone casting plaster.   
• 3.   An Essential General Help Sheet.  
•  4.   A Dedicated Help Sheet to produce the best casting.  
• 5.  A pot of top artist quality  metallic paint.  Choose from ANTIQUE COPPER METALLIC, ROYAL IRIDESCENT SILVER,  ANTIQUE GOLD METALLIC, BRIGHT GOLD METALLIC.   Your chosen colour must be named when you pay in PayPal in - NOTE TO SELLER - or e.mail me please.  If you do not make a selection you get ANTIQUE GOLD METALLIC PAINT
• 6. A paintbrush to finish the job

All you need to complete the task is some small poly/food bags to pour in the alginate for baby's hand to be put in OR my preference - AN EMPTY DRINKS CONTAINER SUITABLY SIZED to fit the body part (because when you pour in the plaster, you want the moulding to stand firmly upright - bags don't!).  The smaller the hand the smaller the bag / container should be to conserve material.  Gloves are not necessary as the dried alginate peels off very easily.   All this is explained properly in the tip sheet so its very straight forward.

n.b. If you are moulding an adult body part with body hair in close proximity you will need to get and use petroleum jelly to prevent the alginate from sticking to it.

Extra Information :-

Dental Chromatic Alginate is super safe for using on the youngest child or most delicate body part as it is designed for use in the mouth to take dental mouldings.  the great thing about using it as well is it changes colour as you work it, telling you what stage you should be at from mixing to applying to setting.  I supply a tip and help sheet to smooth the way if you have not used it before now.

450g of Alginate will make up to 5 new baby hands or feet.  It will make one large adult hand but for an adult foot you need at least two 450g bags - you can buy extra bags of all our products in our ebay shop to add to your order if you wish.  There are two steps to the procedure - Alginate is for making the mould and then you need to make a casting from your mould.  To do this you need casting plaster which is supplied with this kit (all explained in tip sheet which you must read carefully before starting the process).
