Here is a fabulous fossil tooth of a Mammoth .... it came from an old collection from a gentleman of the Whitby area of North Yorkshire... this was the largest example ... there were a couple of others slightly smaller and some other dealer bought those before I got there... anyway I just love this fossil TOOTH with part roots.. its FANTASTIC ... you do see Mammoth teeth fossil parts quite often ... much smaller or those that are sawn into slivvers and another item mounted upon them.
This tooth I do NOT know where it originates from ...as in... I do not know if it is an English found fossil or from Russia etc ... I am sure some of you will know by looking at the photographs etc.
It is for the serious collector or museum alike.
It is 10 inch long x 7 and half inch from the top cutting edge down to the longest root part x 3 and half inch widest top tooth part... it weighs 3.75 kilos..it is quite shiny and may have been dug up like this or it may have been treated with something.. these things I do not know. ....so I do apologise for not knowing quite what I am selling.
My price is related to me liking it myself and I am not too worried if you think its overpriced....it is heavy and the overseas shipping reflects this.
If some one wants to enlighten me about it..... then please feel free to do so....I am all ears....and Yes I know I have go the first photograph upside down showing the roots at the top... only because it stands better this way when I wanted to photograph it.. the cutting edge is the flat top part !

I post every business day (Monday to Friday). If you buy something and pay for it Friday noon or Saturday please be aware it will be posted to you on Monday as I am usually at a live auctions veiwing & buying on Saturdays. Once an item is the in the postal system any delays are out of my control, see the postage label to see the date it was sent.
- I accept returns within 14 days on all items sent back to me in the condition you received it in. If you are in any way unhappy with your item please ebay message me to arrange a return. Item(s) to be returned in its original packaging please. Please note if you or a third party tamper with, changes or repairs an item, this would automatically NULL AND VOID my full return policy, i.e. returns will not be accepted.
- If you return the item because you've changed your mind, and there is no error in the description, return postage will not be refunded.
- UK BUYERS I accept CHEQUES in UK Sterling, PAYPAL or Cheque payments will incurr a DELAY in despatch, of 6 working days to clear.
