DRALOWID The history of Dralowid goes back to 1926, when the company Steatit-Magnesia A.G. (STEMAG, Berlin-Nürnberg) decided to manufacture resistors that were not wire-wound, but carbon resistors ("Kohleschichtwiderstände", carbon deposited on porcelain). Originally a pilot plant was set up in Berlin-Tempelhof, but the commercial production started in the Dralowid-Werk in Berlin-Pankow
