ORIGINAL COMPOSITIONS FOR ORGAN BY JOSEPH C. BRIDGE, ORGANIST OF CHESTER CATHEDRAL. Originally published by Weekes & Co, London, no date, c.  1900. This is a reprint 2009, by Old Chapel Lane Books, Burgh le Marsh, Lincolnshire. A4 stapled. The pieces are Andante, Finale in the French style, Andante, Quasi Pastorale, Andante and Fanfare. They are quite pleasant pieces in the English Edwardian style with a hint of French influence.   J. C.Bridge, d. 1929 was the brother of Sir Frederick Bridge  organist of Westminster Abbey. Joseph was assistant to his brother at Manchester Cathedral and then organist of Chester Cathedral and non resident Professor of music at Durham University. The two brothers  were known as Westminster Bridge and Chester Bridge. I have reprinted the pieces as the copy I had seemed to be a very rare one and so hopefully his pieces will be better known. Copy the second picture, print it and try the music.
