PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING.  We will be glad to send additional photos or answer questions about our items, to be sure that what you receive is exactly what you expect, or better.  

Shipping discounts are available for multiple item purchases.  We usually have discount promotions running, which you may see at the top of each listing page.  If you do not see this, please email us through eBay with a list of items that you wish to buy, and we will adjust the listings for you.  

All items are examined prior to listing, and again, before shipping.  

Items are packed safely and tracked.  If your item arrives damaged, we will assist with your insurance claim, which will require that you save the item, as well as the packaging materials.

SHIPPING CHOICES:  For most items, you will have a choice of USPS Standard, USPS Priority, or USPS Priority Express Shipping within the USA - fully insured.  Regardless of options available in the listing, we may choose to send items via UPS or FEDEX.  Keep in mind that these carriers sometimes cooperate with each other, so you may have an item ship by FEDEX and be delivered by USPS.  International shipping cost will vary, depending on location.  If you are outside of the USA, we typically ship using the eBay Global Shipping Program.  If you prefer another service, or do not understand how this works, please ask. We use a combination of new packaging materials and clean, recycled materials.

BEST OFFERS:  Because most of our items have already been discounted and because we use a formula for profit and loss, we rarely add a Best Offer option to our listings.  Prices are eventually reduced on most items based on the length of time that they have been available.  However, if you are seriously interested in a particular item and would like to make a reasonable offer, please send a note through the eBay system.  For US buyers, eBay now offers us the opportunity to make your offer accessible to you by responding to your email, and if this method is unavailable to you, we can revise the listing.  For sports cards and comics, we do not usually look up current values because they change constantly and because of differences in grading methods.  Often, you may see our cards and comics listed at an arbitrary price – so feel free to make offers on those.

PHOTOS:  Different screens and devices display colors differently and have varied image quality and resolution.  Occasionally, we may use stock photos, but this will usually be obvious.  In most cases, we use our own photos, taken with high quality cameras and lighting.  It is possible that dust may be on the camera lens or on an item, or that shadows may occur - making an item appear to have an imperfection.  If you are interested in an item where the color or shade is of significant importance to you, or you have other questions about the appearance of an item, please email us.  We are glad to provide as accurate a description as possible.  We cannot be responsible for how the images display on your screen or device.

FEEDBACK:  We do our best to describe items accurately and to ship quickly and safely, resulting in happy customers – which leads to positive feedback.  We certainly appreciate 5-Star feedback in all categories and invite you to contact us if you feel that your experience with us deserves any less.  We typically post positive feedback for all buyers who have left feedback for us, once each month.  If it has been longer than one month since your purchase and you have not received positive feedback, please let us know.

SALES TAX:  We do not charge sales tax, and will never charge sales tax as long as we can keep the Federal, State, and Local governments from forcing this issue.  eBay has taken a strong stand in favor of allowing individuals and small businesses to sell through the site without having to add sales tax.  We support this effort through eBay Main Street - the company's department that deals with governmental issues.  If you ever have to vote on this, PLEASE vote “no tax for Internet purchases.”  Big Box stores are already having to charge tax, and many small operations and individuals would be forced to stop selling, or reduce their profit margins to almost nothing by absorbing the sales tax, because the added cost of tax would deter buyers.  Also, the amount of work involved in recording tax information, dividing taxes among over 9000 different state and local governments and routing the payments to each one is enormous.  And – adding tax would cause shoppers like you (and like us) not to buy as much - because we benefit more from not paying sales tax on what we buy here, than from what unknown assistance that tax money might offer to us after it is filtered through the governments.  (Just our humble opinion)

COMMUNICATION:  To save your time and ours, you may receive automated emails that confirm your order or that an item has shipped.  We do respond to emails, but do not usually send emails directly to buyers, unless they are in response to a question.  To save paper, ink, and to keep shipping weight and cost low, we do not send paper notes or packing slips in most cases.  

LOCAL SALE:  Some items, particularly large, heavy items and higher priced items are also for sale locally – therefore, we reserve the right to end listings at any time.  This should not affect Buy it Now items, but with the few items that we list as auctions, bids will be canceled if the item is sold locally during an auction.

OUR ROLE:  We do our best to offer quality items that serve a purpose and / or offer enjoyment.  All items are stored in a clean, climate-controlled, smoke-free, pet-free building.  We sell everything from power tools to clothing.  Our items are described to the best of our ability, and clear photos are provided.  Photos of used items or items that we have known to vary because of the manufacturing process (such as baseball cards or hand-made ceramics) are of the actual item that you will receive.  Photos of new items will be of the actual item in most cases, but we may occasionally use a stock photo - which will usually be obvious.  We are not responsible for the manufacture of items, their features, traits, characteristics, compatibility with other equipment or service providers (such as a peripheral’s compatibility with different versions of Windows or whether a certain software program or device is or will be supported by a service provider), a buyer's knowledge of an item, or the ability of a buyer to use the item.  We do not offer warranties, or guarantee how long an item will last, once it is out of our possession.  Please do your research on electronics, power tools, etc. prior to buying, so that you know what you are getting.  Please ask any questions before bidding/buying. 

Items that we sell do not necessarily reflect our own views on politics or social issues.  For instance, if we sell something made of leather or fur – it does not mean that we are in favor of killing animals.  It simply means that we have acquired something that may be of value to someone.  Likewise, if we sell something that may be offensive to some people, such as a historical or political item, or a T-shirt with an image or saying that is meant to shock people, it does not mean that we share those views or sentiments. We do not purposefully acquire merchandise that might be considered generally offensive, but we do currently have a few items in this category that we will liquidate.

ITEM FUNCTIONALITY:  With clothing, whether new or pre-owned, it is advised to follow the care instructions on the garment and clean or have professionally cleaned before wearing.  Although we clean pre-owned clothing prior to listing (except for some coats, ties, and leather items), some people are allergic to different laundry detergents, fabric softeners, scented sachets that we use, etc. or may prefer a different scent.

Items are guaranteed to be operational upon shipping, unless noted.  We test electronics for powering on, and we test tools and other items that we are familiar with for full functionality.  However, we are not experts on every item that we sell.  If you have specific questions about the functionality of a particular item, please ask before buying.  For instance, if an old 35 mm film camera takes photos well, then we will list it as functional.  Since we don’t have time to test every feature and setting, and you are particularly concerned that the manual timer works – please ask.  

Again, we try to know as much as is necessary about most common items, but are not experts on every item.  Also, we do not have insight regarding the knowledge and experience of a buyer with particular items, or the buyer's specific expectations.  For instance, if a buyer collects paper advertising ephemera, and is disappointed that a paper item does not look as nice in their display as they had hoped, alongside their other paper collectibles - we cannot be responsible for their opinion or their own purpose for such an item.  We can only be responsible for listing it accurately and shipping it safely. 

We do not accept returns for the following reasons:

1.  We do enjoy selling on eBay, but the purpose of our work is liquidation.  We do not have the infrastructure or staff to handle returns, like large companies do.  Handling returns usually requires time to read and send several emails, examine returned items, restock (when appropriate), and to re-list the item.  Instead of losing time and money with buyers who wish to "check something out" or "try it on," we do our best to take clear photos, to describe items well, and to answer questions.  This eliminates the need for a buyer to make a return.     

2.  In some cases, there is no guarantee that the item we receive is the same exact item that we sent.  Unfortunately, buyers have attempted to return used or damaged items that they bought elsewhere, in place of the ones that we have sold to them.  Additionally, we have had an attempt to return an item that was successfully reprogrammed by a service provider and broken by the buyer after he admittedly used it for a few days.  By not accepting returns, we eliminate these attempts.

3.  We carefully inspect items before listing and before shipping to ensure that their condition and functionality matches the description in the listing.  When an item passes inspection, is carefully packed with proper protective materials, and is shipped with tracking, our responsibility for the item ends.  Occasionally, upon receiving an item, a buyer may be responsible for damage to an item or its misuse.  This is especially common with electronics, and examples would be use of a power strip with less surge protection than required, dropping and item, liquid damage, downloading software or apps that are not compatible or corrupt the device, etc.  While this may be accidental or unintentional, once an item is received by the buyer, we cannot accept responsibility for it.  Likewise, the carriers are responsible for safe delivery of all items, and we will assist in cases of items damaged during shipping. 

Exceptions:  Refunds may be issued at our discretion, if there is an error in the listing that significantly affects the use of the item, such as listing an incorrect model number, or size (if the item is a piece of clothing, drill bit, photo frame, etc.).
