Joseph Cheaney established the company in 1886, and in  1896, along with his brother Arthur, they moved to the site which the factory occupies today.

The business was sold in 1964 to Church's English Shoes, the world famous brand based in Northampton, and to this day Cheaney remain one of Englands most prestigious shoemakers.


 

These shoes are a classic 4 toe derby lace up brogue shoe in UK  size 9 F (U.S. 9.5/10 ----- EU 43) formed on last  12508 cut from slightly waxed nubuck suede with contrasting lighter colour stitching and come with both beige colour & also dark brown laces so choose to wear whichever lace colour you prefer, model is "Avon" which were retailed at £350, please check measurements before buying. They feature goodyear welted studed dainite rubber soles, and are  in A1 perfect condition they will come to you in original box. As you would expect at this quality level they are internally 100% leather lined, these are indeed a rare find at this price so be sure not to miss them ! 

Please check against your own footwear before bidding,  external sole measurements are Length 12  3/8" --- 314mm and Width at widest is  4  1/8" ---- 104mm
