Our Acoustic Wedge Kit is a wonderful product for absorbing sound waves, but do not mistake “sound absorption” for “sound blocking.” Acoustic foam will not block sound from going through it. To block sound you need heavy, dense material. Acoustic foam does help to make sound waves less, and are a good solution for sound absorption. This is why it is used to treat a room with a lot of echo or reverberation. It helps to create an acoustically “sound deadening” effect for rooms, with a lot of bouncing sound waves.

Installation Tips

Step 1 - Determine the best placement for bass traps depends on the acoustic properties of the room. Generally, they should be placed in the corners of the room, where low-frequency sounds tend to accumulate.

Step 2 - Clean the surface: Before installing the bass traps, make sure the surface where you plan to mount them is clean and free of any dust or debris. This will ensure a secure and stable installation.

Step 3 – Attached Bass Traps with 3M-77 Spray adhesive, for a stronger permanent bond make sure you spray both surfaces and allow adhesive to dry and get tacky before bonding, you can also use Push Pins, or you could also attach using Velcro strips or put double stick tape

The foam will be vacuum packed into a black plastic seal. You will need to open the black seal carefully, not to damage the foam inside. Foam needs 24 hours to 48 hours to breath and come back to shape. You must open the package as soon as it’s received. PACKAGE WILL BE SMALLER THAN EXPECTED.
