Adonis, in Greek mythology, is the god of beauty and desire, and is a central figure in various mystery religions. He is described as a beautiful youth. On the left he is designed as a well-formed, although not too youthful male figure. The sculpture is mounted on a dark marble base and bearing the signature of the artist Cezaro.
