c. 1920s-1930s Studio des Art Decoratifs portfolio featuring 52 pochoir tissue designs on 12 plates by Russian-born artist Nicolas Sokoline and published Armand Guerinet in Paris.

50 of the images are in very good condition with NO tears, scuffing, wear or fading.

Two images on Plate 9 have 3 tiny tears in total - one on the lower left, 2 on the upper right that barely encroach into the designs. (Someone was a little overzealous with the tape on the back, but this can be removed.)

The page edges have wear/tear, with chipping to the plain borders, not affecting the artwork.  There's some light toning, but this doesn't seem to affect the images.   The front/back covers are literally being held together by one small piece of the pink fabric and have a good deal of wear at the corners/edges, but are otherwise sturdy.

The plates measure 15.75" x 11.75" and the covers are 16" x 12."

OTHER: The pasted-down title notes at the bottom a bookstore specializing in Arts & Crafts books in Germany, which may be where this was sold. (The name Christian Stoll was that of a publisher of similar books.)  //   The stamp of Lynn Hertzman appears throughout; she was a designer of fabrics, ceramics, etc. in NYC.   //   The entire series of these books is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
