THIS EXCELLENT 2-PLACE BIPLANE WAS KNOWN AS THE PT-17 WHEN DELIVERED TO ARMY FLIGHT TRAINING CENTERS. THE NAVY DESIGNATIONS WERE N2S-1 AND N2S-4. PRINTED IN U.S.A. The model comes with multiple illustrated building instructions, loose parts, decals, plastic parts, metal parts, balsa wood parts, and tissue-type covering paper. The model kit appears to be complete although we did not check all the parts against the instruction sheet’s parts list. The wooden parts look to be in unused condition and free of any apparent damage other than one panel having some bowing. The instructions/paper items have aging, yellowing, edge wear, creases, wrinkles, bumped corners, and dirty and/or stained areas. The decal sheet has yellowing, scratches, creases, and nicks. The box measures roughly 24 3/8" x 8 1/2" x 2 1/2" and weighs roughly 1 lb 5.3 oz. The box has aging, dust/dirt, creases, denting, slight caving on the top, scratches, scuffs, edge wear, bumped corners, bowing, and dirty and/or stained areas.
