For sale is a unique antique miniature Victorian style silver filigree doll purse necklace.  The metal purse measures 1 and 5/8" X 1 and 1/4" X 1/2" and features a fold open flap that latches firmly shut. It hangs on a 14" metal chain. I do not know the exact composition of the purse, whether it is sterling silver or simply silver plate, but a magnet is not drawn to any part of the purse. The chain does have some pull to a magnet.  The chain is in beautiful condition. On the purse, one of the chain holders is bent (see pic) and I see one tiny piece of metal missing from the top flap of the purse. The flap opens and closes beautifully.  From my research, it may have been a doll purse from the early 1900s, but I cannot say that for certain. I secured it from the estate of a longtime doll and toy collecter. Obviously, I am not an expert on this piece, so please ask questions and check the pictures carefully.
