Intermotor Camshaft Position Sensor

A Camshaft Position Sensor determines engine position based on the location of the camshaft: engine position is used for determining injection and ignition sequence.

A faulty camshaft sensor can cause the following symptoms:

- Engine indicator lamp comes on
- Starting difficulties
- loss of engine power
- Fault code is stored
- Control unit enters an emergency program
- If the sensor begins to fail while your car is moving, you may feel the car jerking while losing power
