The scans are meant to provide a reasonable facsimile of the actual item, and is a limited quality with a light source in one direction and dust particles on the glass or the coin holder. As a coin collector, I know you really have to get the coin in your possession under a magnifier for yourself to be sure it is what you want for your collection.
