Germaine Prevost, connue sous le nom de scène Marie Bizet (née le 26 avril 1905 à Paris 6e arrondissement et morte le 10 juillet 1998 à Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames) est une actrice et une chanteuse française.
Elle débute dans la confection puis en 1935 à Marseille, elle joue dans l'opérette Ignace auprès de Fernandel avec qui elle chante en duo Redis-le me. Elle monte à Paris et se produit au Palace. Elle tourne dans quelques films pour le cinéma, mais elle s'impose surtout au music-hall comme chanteuse fantaisiste. Elle enregistre en 1942 ses deux plus grands succès L'Hôtel des trois canards et J'y vas-t-y, j'y vas t-y pas.
Au début des années 50, elle enregistre Je cherche un mari sur des paroles de Pierre Delanoë. Elle travaille ensuite avec Gilbert Bécaud qui l'accompagne au piano et compose pour elle. En 1980, elle fête ses 75 ans en donnant un récital au théâtre Saint-Martin.
Elle meurt à Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames le 10 juillet 1998 à l'âge de 93 ans.
Germaine Prevost, known as Marie Bizet (born April 26, 1905 in Paris 6th arrondissement and died July 10, 1998 in Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames) is an actress and a French singer.
She began in the confection and in 1935 in Marseille, she plays in the operetta Ignatius with Fernandel with whom she sings in duo Redis-le me. She goes to Paris and performs at the Palace. She turns in a few films for the cinema, but she is essential especially to the music hall as a fanciful singer. In 1942 she recorded her two greatest hits, The Hotel des trois canards, and I'm going there, I'm not going there.
At the beginning of the 50's, she records I'm looking for a husband on the words of Pierre Delanoë. She then works with Gilbert Bécaud who accompanies her on the piano and composes for her. In 1980, she celebrated her 75th birthday by giving a recital at the Théâtre Saint-Martin.
She died in Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames on July 10, 1998 at the age of 93.
