Here is an auction catalogue from L.W. Arnett Auctioneers dated 1954. It is full of the lots from the sale of Newton House, Londonderry Nr. Leeming, Yorkshire.
This catalogue is for sash windows, doors, architrave, skirting boards, fixtures and fittings...etc.. interesting to think as soon as these lots were sold.. there were professional dismantlers there to take the items out for you and then the place was demolished.
This large country mansion was sold room by room and then demolished to make way for RAF LEEMING ..just off the A1 near Bedale.
It is in collectable condition with signs of age and use wear. The outer cover is worn round the edges and corners and has some discolouration. Please see pictures.
It measures approx. 8 and 1/2 inches x 5 and 1/2 inches.
Items are shown next to an English 1 penny which is 20mm (11/16th of an inch) diameter for scale.
