1577 JESUIT Confessional Antwerp
Belgium Confession Methodus Confessionis RARE
‘Methodus
Confessionis’ is a rare 16th-century religious manual written to
teach Christians how to live moral lives through confession, prayer,
abstinence, and scriptural reading. Authorship of this work is a bit ambiguous,
often being attributed to both Petrus de Soto and Claude de Viexmont. This work
is also mentioned in the de Backer Jesuit Bibliography, as an important Jesuit
devotional.
