You are bidding on this BEAUTIFUL AND REAL MINERAL SPECIMEN, a vivid combination of rich red-brown Vanadinite crystals on a brown matrix originally from Mibladen, Morocco.
The size of the specimen is 3-1/8" by 2" by 1/2".
This stone exhibits dozens of hexagonal crystals on a rich brown matrix. Vanadinite is an uncommon mineral, only occurring as the result of chemical alterations to a preexisting material. It is therefore known as a secondary mineral. It is found in arid climates and forms by oxidation of primary lead minerals. Its unique formation requirements make it a somewhat rare find, with the most detailed crystals generally found in Morocco.
