Carriage Compendium - Diagram Details and Running Numbers of GNSR and LNER Northern Scottish Area Carriages

Booklet published by the Great North of Scotland Railway Association in 2010, 38 pages. A4 size booklet (N7274PE)

From the introduction: This Compendium is a supplement to Carriages of the Great North of Scotland Railway. That book gives a detailed history of all the GNSR built carriages as well as providing general details such as liveries, types of brakes used and construction methods. This booklet provides additional detail for GNSR carriages, including running numbers, building and withdrawal dates and disposal details. It also includes full details of the vehicles transferred to the Northern Scottish Area of the LNER until separate Area records ceased to be maintained, about 1943. Full records are available for vehicles extant from about 1907. Information on those withdrawn before then has been deduced from study of the Minutes of the GNSR and its constituent Companies and the stock returns included in Annual Reports. Contents include:

The condition of the booklet is generally good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs and some light wear along the edges, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.

When we post our books, we take great care in packaging them - first your book will be wrapped in bubblewrap, which protects the book and even keeps out any rain (in the event that it's raining when the postie delivers it!). Then we wrap your book in stiff cardboard, taking care to make sure all the corners are protected, and finally the package is wrapped in thick brown paper.
