Our new ultrasonic thickness meter TMT-TM-1240 is able to measure the thicknesses of 11 different material types. These are for example steel (5.918 m/s), cast iron, aluminum (6.375 m/s), copper, brass, zinc, quartz, PVC (2.388 m/s), calcium, glass, iron, nickel, polystyrene (2.337 m/s), ceramics, stainless steel and titanium.
This tester also has a variable sound velocity setting (1000-9999 m/s) to measure the coating thickness of any materials for example gold (3225 m/s), silver (3610 m/s), palladium and platin (3690 m/s). 
The specially developed LSI-circuit provides a high measuring accuracy and fast response times. That means material thickness can be determined, without the coating must be removed (non destructive measuring). You can choose between measurement in mm or inch. The device has a serial RS-232 interface to transfer the datas to a laptop or computer. Another highlight is the compact and strainable housing, which is easily to transport. Typical application range of our thickness-measuring gauge is the maintenance of boiler, heating, container, pipes and other applications for the measurement of abrasion, corrosion and coating. Each precious metal has a completely specific sound velocity. This can be clearly determined by this ultrasonic measuring instrument and so a statement whether the precious metal test object, bar, coin is genuinly or a falsification. All usuall coins or bars made of gold, silver, platinum and other precious metals and their existing alloys can be tested in a non destructive authenticity examination within a weight range from 5 g to 1000 g.
